School History…
This school was established by Mother Foundress Claudine ,keeping in mind the sacrifice ,our Lord Jesus Christ gave on the Holy Cross for our sins and salvation.Following the footsteps of her devoted, selfless and caring nature 6 sisters from France namely Mother Veronica, Sr.Jenne,Sr.Clementine,Sr.Philomina , Sr.Marie and Sr. Suzan came to Amravati in Maharashtra ,India. Amongst them, Mother Veronica was the superior .Many branches of Holy Cross Society were opened in their reign.AsMother Veronica grew old, her responsibility was handed over to Mother Celine Dumolin .
She realized that in camp Amravati there was no Marathi medium school.
So keeping in view the need of people’s educational demand, they felt the need to open a Marathi medium school.
Indeed they did not know Marathi language . So without hesitation and strong will power , first they all tried to learn Marathi for which they attended tutorials .
The Boat Will Hit The Storm Only Then It Can Reach The Shore.With These Fruitful Efforts, Holy Cross Marathi High School Was Established In 1936. A Small Seedling Was Planted And Its Plant Has Reached Highest.
Holy Cross Marathi High School Has Celebrated Its 75th –Platinum Jubilee In 2011-2012 :
1) 1936 – Established
2) 1950 – (15-06-1950) Pre-Primary School (Class 5th Started)
3) 1962 – Higher Secondary School (Class 8th Was Started)
4) First SSC Batch 1964
